The Maitland Public School Dance Troupe is a group shrouded in success, great fun and occasionally costumes. The troupe is instructed by Mrs Lyndal Edge, and coordinated by Mrs Leanne Wilson.
The Dance Troupe usually includes up to 60 boys and girls who train each week to create different dances, and sometimes a story dance performance.
In prior years the troupe has entered different competitions with large levels of success. They have won awards at the Wakakirri National Story Festival and the J-Rock Competition. They also train to perform at the bi-annual school musical and on the annual band tour.
