The Maitland Public School Dance Troupe is renowned for its quality performance throughout the region. Studnets from years 3-6 auditioned at the beginning of the year to participate in weekly lessons in choreogrphy, flexibility and performance. The troupe perform anually in the Hunter Regional Schools Dance Festival in Newcastle, this year presenting "While Mortals Sleeps". A small group of senior dancers accompany the band on tour each December, performingat schools all over the state.
