Senior Concert Band

The Maitland Public School Concert Band has a long and proud history.



The Band holds capabilities for 6 Flutes, 6 Clarinets, 4 Alto Saxophones, 1 Tenor Saxophone, 6 Trumpets, 3 Trombones, 1 Mellophone, 1 Baritone and 1 Drum Kit.

 

In prior years the band has attained many achievements. The band performs on a regular basis at concerts, eisteddfods, festivals and a band competition. They also play at school functions, such as Induction Day, Presentation Day and many other occasions. A band camp and workshop day are held each year. In Term 4 each year the band goes on a three day tour.

 

Junior and Intermediate Bands

For those wanting to progress to the Concert Band there are smaller bands that aid students in learning their instruments. Pupils in Years 3 and 4 may join the Junior Band, and then they can progress to the Intermediate Band with an eye to finally fill a position in the Senior Concert Band.
