A fresh start!

The canteen will only open on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. The old menu has been completely replaced with fresher/healthier menu options. The Term 2 menu is attached and will change seasonally. Hot food will no longer be available at recess. All recess & lunch orders must be placed at the canteen no later than 9.30am. Orders placed after this time will only be able to choose from the sandwich menu for that day. What else is happening: ü The canteen cupboards will be emptied and the whole canteen will be commercially cleaned during the holidays. ü All volunteers will be required to attend a ‘FREE Canteen Workshop’ which will cover such things as correct handling of food, hygiene, cleaning and canteen procedures. These will be held at various times early in Term 2 and then again periodically as new volunteers show interest in working in the canteen. ü Recipes outlining the contents of food made in the canteen will be placed on the school website and will also be available at the canteen should you have a child that has a food allergy. ü A Canteen Suggestion Box will be placed at the office. We encourage any concerns or suggestions for the canteen to be placed in this box by either parents, students or staff. NOTE: Change is ever evolving and never comes without some resistance and teething issues. We ask that you please be patient and positive and encourage your children to embrace the changes. This is only the beginning of our journey to a school canteen that promotes healthier eating habits to our children and their little taste buds!
